Established in 2008 Auntie’s Doggie Daycare has gone from strength to strength and is now recognised as an industry leading dog care business based in the North West of England. From opening up with just a few dogs as a day home boarding business the Company now has two successful branches of its own and has embarked on a franchise model not only to promote and encourage responsible dog ownership through the doggie daycare services it offers, but also to encourage best practice and ethical dog daycare business practices throughout the industry.
Central to the success of the business has been the internally developed daycare leader and doggy daycare management programmes. This programme is used internally to train all new members of staff and forms the basis of them being able to work safely and professionally in a doggy daycare.
So greatly has this been received by staff and customers that Auntie’s have extended the plan and are now offering it to existing and prospective doggie daycare owners as a course to help them build on their dog knowledge, enhance their doggie daycare offering or alternatively give them a strong basis on which to open a dog care service or facility.
The Company boasts its own dedicated training centre and has the daycare courses on offer that consist of both theory and practical training including hands on experience of working with the animals and putting into practice all the things you learn before you go off and do this for yourself.
In addition to training on how to run a doggy daycare the Company offers courses in marketing your dog daycare business, customer service, accounting and record keeping for doggie daycare.
Who is Auntie?
My name is Lisa Pye and I am affectionately known by all our doggie friends as Auntie Lisa.
I established Aunties Doggie Daycare in 2008, running it from my home with just a handful of pooches including my very own English bulldog, Bomber.
The business has over the years moved through many incarnations starting as a home boarding and dog walking service in Chorley in 2007 to the multi-site and service business the Company is today incorporating a doggie daycare, a grooming salon and a dog boutique.
In February 2017 it was decided to build upon the success of Auntie’s Bamber Bridge and open a second branch in Preston and in doing so it was important to find a dedicated dog professional who could not only take on the ethos and ethics of Auntie’s but also it was an opportunity to road test the Auntie’s Training modules and ensure their validity in passing knowledge onto a new Branch Manager and seamlessly open a New Branch.
The experiment was a success and now this Course is Available to all existing and potentially new dog day care facility owners.
Our Mission is:
